Q. HOW DO I GET THERE?
A. It’s just a short stroll from major transport, such as Museum train station, or by bus to Oxford Street. Parking is limited and costly within the area.
Q. IS THERE A COST FOR STUDIO SPACE?
A. Yes, the weekly rent is $75 and a refundable bond of $350 is held.
Q. WILL THE PROGRAM PROVIDE FREE MATERIALS AND EQUIPTMENT?
A. No. Artist’s need to provide their own materials and endeavour to find people to assist in the creation and exhibition of their work.
Q. CAN I MAKE NOISE, USE STRONG SMELLING MATERIALS OR USE INDUSTRIAL METHODS SUCH AS WELDING IN THE STUDIO?
A. No. The studios are an open planned space where strong fumes, noise and possible fire hazards are a health hazard to other people in the studio as well as the building. The studio’s will be surrounded by business that function on a 9am-5pm M-F daily basis andmust not disturb these tenants.
Q. HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
A. A.R.P is interested in many forms of support. You can donate, volunteer your time for the exhibition (see volunteer), offer value in kind support such as alcohol sponsorship for the exhibition, publicity or networking support, art supplies, installation support (if you are an experienced art installer/handler), etc.
